Angelika Klas, graduated from the Sibelius-Academy in 2002. In Addition to her fnnish teachers Jaakko Ryhänen and Marjut Hannula she has studied with Bonaldo Giaiotti and Teresa Berganza.

Angelika Klas is known as an especially charismatic performer and a strong interpreter. She has an exceptionally wide repertoire: In addition to the basic repertoire of a lyric soprano she is specialized in Astor Piazzolla’s strong and dramatic tango music. Her repertoire also consists of orchestra- and chamber music, both baroque and contemporary music and operetta- and stage music

She has performed in several operatic roles: Bizet’s Carmen(Carmen), Dvorak’s Rusalka (Princess) and Piazzolla’s Maria de Buenos Aires (Maria). She has also performed in many operettas such as; Kálman’s Countess Mariza (Mariza), Offenbach's Orfée aux enfers (Eurydike), J.Strauss's the Bat (Rosalinde) and Léhar's The Count of Luxemburg (Angéle Didier). She has performed as a soloist at Savonlinna Opera Festival, Moscow's Novaya Opera, St. Petersburg's Mihhailovski Opera and the Finnish National Opera.

During the season 2015-2016 she playes the leading role in a successful musical play on opera and operetta star Tamara Lund's life in the Turku City Theatre.

Angelika Klas has performed at many international festivals; such as Birgita-festival, Kuhmo chamber music festival, Korsholm music festival and Helsinki festival. She has performed as a soloist with most fnnish symphony orchestras.

She performs actively both in Finland and abroad both as a soloist and together with the well known Tango-and entertainment orchestras Guardia Nueva and the exceptionally virtuoso tango quintet Tanguedia Quintet. She has released records with both of these exceptional tango orchestras.
