Giuseppe Devastato born in Naples, is a pianist and composer recognized by international critics as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation.

Given the characteristics of his piano performance he has recorded movie soundtracks for the film industry, for television and radio stations in Europe and America.

He was awarded the position of Artistic Advisor of the Neapolitan Music Society of New York in the presence of the governor of New York, Mario Cuomo and Mrs. Matilda Cuomo, for his artistic merits in the revaluation of the Neapolitan repertoire of the XVIII century.

Has been invited to represent Italy abroad giving concerts for Embassies and Cultural Institutes in Romania, Bosnia, Poland, New York, Tokyo and Austrian Embassy in Rome.

He was awarded the "International Prize Cartagine 2011” to human merit and professional achievements in the "MUSIC" section, for the dissemination of music in general - and Italian music in particular - around the world, in virtue of the merits acquired as a pianist and composer, with the intention to spread the world of classical music:

“His actions show high sensitivity and a deep love for life. His playing is intended to imitate the human voice and is inspired by the art of Bel Canto of the Neapolitan School”.

The debut at Carnegie Hall in New York as a pianist and composer, May 30th, 2014 was greeted with a standing ovation. On this occasion he presented the "Sembazuru Fantasy" (dedicated to Tsunami Victims) which will be published and recorded, a part of the sales will be donated to the victims.

He currently teaches Master Classes in Europe, America and Asia and is Professor of Piano at Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid.

Many of his pupils have been award winners at national and international competitions like Thalberg, Cesar Franck, Compositores de España, Maria Herrero, Riga, Warsaw , Newcastle, etc.

Works as a composer for the film industry and is Artistic Director of the piano academy “Neapolitan Music Society” of New York.

Author of chamber music and symphonic music, his compositions are regularly performed in Europe,America and Asia.

Is Artistic Director of the International Piano Competition “The Neapolitan Masters”.
