Elisabeth Moest’s concerts are an experience. With her beautiful sound, her ability to affect and her deeply impressing musicality she creates an atmosphere in the concert hall, which never fails to fascinate.

Austrian-born flautist Elisabeth Moest studied at the Private Universities of Music in Linz and Vienna and attended master classes with William Bennett, Maxence Larrieux and Aurele Nicolet.

After receiving her diploma, her musical path led her to Vienna for further private studies with Manuela Wiesler, as well as with William Bennett at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

E. Moest’s musical style is characterized by transparency, truthfulness and the artful way in which she interprets the transitions.

Having received several awards, she made her debut in London in 2001 with the premiere of a piece which Helmut Neumann had composed specifically for her.

Her comprehensive repertoire, ranging from Baroque to Contemporary, always delights her audience. Inspired by nature and intellectual thought, she creates multi-faceted programmes on themes, which are, musically as well as thematically, amongst the most interesting of our time.

Many contemporary composers have dedicated works to Elisabeth Moest, among them Violeta Dinescu, Nikolai Badinski, W.A.Schultz. She is a much sought-after interpreter of contemporary music.

Elisabeth Moest appeared as solo flautist, as well as chamber musician in all of Europe, in South America and the USA and is a welcome guest at international music festivals.

In 2009 E. Moest won international acclaim in Istanbul and Sofia. In May of the same year she was invited as „Special Guest“ at the International Flute Festival in Lima, Peru, where she also held master classes.

In 2010 she was invited to perform the opening concert at the Festival “Natur“ (A), alongside such stars as G. Kremer and B. Skride.

Elisabeth Moest gave concerts in Italy, Austria, Germany and Slovakia in 2012. She was furthermore invited to participate at the Flute Festival, USA, as well as at the’British Flute Festival’ in Manchester, where she also held a lecture on the flute concert by Helmut Neumann (3.Wiener Schule).

This season several recitals are scheduled in which she will be sharing the stage with the internationally renown violinist and violist Elisabeth Kufferath.

E. Moest is ambassador for the Klangreiheninstitut in Vienna.

For quite some time E. Moest has been creating thematic „meditative soundscapes“, which are defined as a mixture of artful speech, music and intellectual thought.

Her project „Die Osternacht“ was honoured with 6 stars by the press while touring through Austria.

E. Moest holds a lectureship at the International Academie (ITA) in Göttingen, Germany. She is also guest lecturer at the Academy of Music in Sofia. She holds her own master courses in Aflenz (Styria), as well as at the Landesmusikakademie in Bavaria.

2013 will see E. Moest performing in Malta and Australia for the first time.

A recent CD-release, a recording of 4 sonatas by L.Spohr (flute/harp), was chosen ‚CD of the month’ and has been highly regarded by the press/media.

Alongside her performing schedule, Elisabeth Moest finds time to write poetry and has published stories for children (Was der Schnee Dir sagen kann, NOVUM-Verlag).
